An announcement regarding the extension of receiving requests for support from the Masirah Fund and Foundation

The Masirah Foundation and Fund for Supporting Persons with Disabilities in the Arab Community in Israel, which is a public donor association, collects funds from donors to provide grants for associations that concern persons with disabilities in the Arab community, announcing the extension of receiving applications for a grant from the Masirah Fund and Foundation In the name of Dr. Hala Espanyoli for the associations for the year 2022-2023
1) Objectives of the grant:
1. Supporting projects and initiatives of non-profit Arab associations and institutions working in the field of disability and aiming to improve the reality of people with disabilities in Arab society.
2. Applications submitted to receive grants are subject to the study of the Grants Committee, taking into account the topics that the Masirah Foundation and Fund are prioritizing at the present time, and the financial amount allocated for grants.
3. The ability to implement the program and transparency in management.
2) Areas of support
Masirah Fund and Foundation provides financial grants to support projects that empower people with disabilities in Arab society, for example:
ü Projects that promote the integration of people with disabilities into society, higher education institutions and the labor market.
ü Projects to raise awareness of the challenges facing people with disabilities.
ü Projects to enhance accessibility in society in all its forms.
ü Projects to develop services and strengthen the leadership spirit of persons with disabilities.
ü Projects to provide access to information and obtain rights in Arabic.
3) Target group
3.1 Associations and institutions working to support people with disabilities in Arab society.
3.2 The fund encourages associations and initiatives that submit proposals for joint projects between two or more associations, and gives preference to projects in which new and emerging associations participate in the field of supporting people with disabilities.
4) Terms of submission

4.3 The proposed budget is used for the purposes and activities of the proposed project only.
4.4 The annual financial report of the association’s activities should not be less than 50,000 shekels in the last year, provided that the project budget does not exceed 40% of the annual financial cycle of the association.
4.5 The association must contribute to the budget of the proposed project (matching) at a rate of 25% of the total budget amount.
4.6 The association should deal with the public of people with disabilities as a primary target audience in its regular work.
4.7 Submit a realistic and detailed plan that can be implemented within the specified time frame and includes a time-disbursement program.
4.8 All items of the attached form must be filled out.
5) Support volume
5.1 The size of the grants ranges between 10-50 thousand shekels.
5.2 Payment will be made in stages, according to the stages of project progress and in accordance with the work agreement.
5.3 Support is not granted for the following purposes:
• Financing the purchase of professional equipment that does not essentially serve the objectives of the project
• Programs that support the borrowing of medical equipment and devices
• Financing the foundation’s basic expenses, staff and management

7) Dates for submitting applications
• The deadline for submitting applications for grants is until 31/01/22 at 12:00 noon.

• The form must be filled out and sent by e-mail to the address: [email protected] and the documents required in the previous item No. 6 should be attached.
• Responsibility for ensuring that the application form has been received rests with the applicant
• Any application submitted after the mentioned date will not be considered.
• An application that does not meet all the conditions mentioned will not be considered.
• The scheduled date for the interviews with the associations will be announced later, with the participation of representatives of the Administrative Board of the Masera Fund and the Grants Committee.
