Information centers project

It was established five years ago on the initiative of the Disabilities department at the Joint Israel, in cooperation with Masira Fund, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and Bader Philanthropies, information centers have been activated in the Arab community with the aim of providing advice and support in the field of rights for people with disabilities and their families.

Project goals:

  1. Access to social and economic benefits for people with disabilities and their families
  2. Facilitating access to information (culturally and technologically) and new services for people with disabilities and their families.
  3. Disseminate information through websites, social networks, and professional circles
  4. Access and increase participation for the benefit of services available to people with disabilities

 

The project works in family centers for counseling and support for people with disabilities in four locations: Nazareth, Kabul and Tamra, Tira in the north and Rahat in the south, where in December 2019 four centers were led by coordinators for the information centers in different areas.

The success of the project is measured by continuous follow-up and monitoring of the project participants and the applicants treated through evaluation feedback by (phone calls, interviews, and surveys) after the end of the project, as the project will be accompanied by research to evaluate its success.

Work in this program will be done by receiving directions for consultation on the issue of the rights of people with disabilities, lectures and workshops for people with disabilities and their families, learning days and conferences for partners, representatives from various ministries, directing existing services and using information sites such as the All Right website and the National Insurance Institute website.
